Engineering Support for Motor, Controller and CAN-Bus Decisions

Bafang Motor service work is built for OEM engineering teams that must lock frame geometry, firmware behavior, voltage selection and compliance evidence before a pilot build moves to production tooling.

Service Table for Ebike Platform Teams

Each program receives a structured review rather than a generic catalog reply. The first stage captures frame type, wheel size, dropout, battery voltage, region, rider payload and duty cycle. The second stage maps those inputs to mid-drive or hub motor candidates, then the electrical team checks controller limits, harness routing and display communication.

For M500/M600/M620 programs, we document peak torque, nominal power, thermal derating behavior, Q-factor constraints and mounting envelope risks. For rear hub projects, we focus on axle fit, spoke geometry, brake interface, controller current and serviceability. The objective is simple: reduce late-stage redesign by showing what the motor will ask from the frame, battery and software stack.

Four-Step Spec Review Methodology

The workflow keeps mechanical, electrical and purchasing teams aligned from sample request to pilot launch.

01

Application Intake

We collect rider payload, regional speed class, voltage, wheel size, target torque and installation envelope. A city bike may prioritize quiet cadence response, while a cargo platform may need M620 peak torque and reinforced harness routing.

02

Platform Shortlist

The team narrows M500, M600, M620, front hub, rear hub or H730 automatic-shift candidates using real constraints rather than a one-size recommendation.

03

Electrical Interface

CAN-bus behavior, display logic, battery communication, brake cut-off and controller current settings are documented so firmware teams can test early.

04

Pilot Evidence

Sample plans include noise, temperature, water ingress and endurance checkpoints, giving purchasing and quality teams measurable acceptance criteria.
