So use linear guide rails to handle the load. Match the rail length to the full stroke, not just the travel distance. Add limit switches or position sensors. And write the rail specification down before buying anything.

This sounds boring, but it's the step that saves money. Screenshot the product page. Save the datasheet PDF. Paste the model number, voltage, and connector type into a job log. If a discrepancy shows up later, you can prove what you ordered.
